I never thought about technology. Or my favorite piece of technology. For a couple of weeks I been thinking that writing and nothing jajaja. I have cellphone, computer, internet, camera, television, audio and a lot of “technology” things. Although, probably my favorite thing is the cards.

Usually I lose money. For this, you can think that I am messy, and yes, I am. But usually I find everything except money. So, debit cards are good friends (no credit, because I haven’t a steady job that allows me to cover a possible debt xD). The school pass (TNE) is also a good partner. And the electronic transfer from, for example, RUT account is WONDERFUL jajajaja.

I used the school pass on weekends. And weekends, where I live, anyplace where “put” money to Bip card is open, so the bank webpage is an excellent choice. Moreover, I couldn’t say how often I use the debit card. It is, simply, when I lose money or no have.

I like cards because I don’t lost (for some reason xd). Cards fit in everywhere and with a one “plastic” I can do several things, unlike money “only” serves to pay. And when I get back money… is terrible jajajaja.

I must say, mi life without cards would be poor and miserable.

A song...

A song I like

My mom is a strong influence on my musical tastes. Since childhood I have heard musicians and bands such as Inti-Illimani,Violeta Parra, Víctor Jara, Quilapayún, Los Jaivas, Santiago del Nuevo Extremo, etc, of movements the “new Chilean song” and “Latin American fusion” .

This movements are characterized by a folk bas, with lyrics that express the wishes of society or  mixture rhythms.

A song I like so much of this movement is “Lo que más quiero”. It wrote by Violeta Parra and scored by her daughter, Isabel. On 1970, Violeta publishes its self-titled album that contains this song and on 1971 Inti-Illimani records and releases his own version. The latter is my favorite.

This song is played as a joropo. In the version of Inti-Illimani is accompanied by a cuatro (instrument of four strings) which takes the base, a guitar (plucking and arpeggio) and a pair of maracas. But, my favorite element of the song is the harmony that are the voices, especially at the beginning and end of the track. When a hear the song I feel the strength of the interpretation.

The lyric are, broadly speaking, about how what we love as we try to harm, intentionally or unintentionally.

Kmizhii, a good friend :D

A good friend

My parents usually say I meet a lot of people, but only a handful of them are good friends. Between them is Camila, or Kamizhi jajajaja.

We met on 2006 at school. She was a punk girl, with black makeup in eyes and colored hair, and I… well, I was a folk girl. She hadn’t good marks and I started to help her. We stayed after class to studied. Then, we went together to stop bus and talk about stupid thinks and we became friends.

At a glance, we haven’t things in common, except the school. But, we both like taking walks, listening to music. She loves talk and I like listening to her things and laugh of Kamizhi.

Now, we don’t see so much :( Camila had a baby in January, 2010, and Gabriel, her sun, requires her full attention. In addition, the university absorbed all my time weekly. So, when I go out early to class, I make a visit to my friend and she cooks something delicious and I play with Gabriel. Then, the three go to a park near the Kamizhi’s home, and we had excellent!

But, as we are together just two twice a month, we call once a week at least.

She is a very sour and absurd girl, but I love a lot!

Teoria.com

I don't like read in internet. I use glasses and I don't like use much the notebook because, sometimes, my head hurts.

But there is a website that I like so much!

This website is dedicated to musical theory. Two main strengyhs to website are:

1. tutorials, and

2. exercises.

In learning we have six links: reading music, intervals, scales, chords, harmonic functions and musical forms. All these are essential elements to "read" music

In exercises we have… exercises. Jajaja. There are exercises about six topics that are explain in tutorials section. My favorite exercises are related to listening skills. It’s like dictation. You open the exercise and should listen it. Then, you repeat or identify the beat, etc (depends to type of exercise).

I really like this website because here explain the concepts necessary for the music (a matter of musical theory is very expensive) and, later, you can practice the “new knowledge”.

I try to visit the website four days a week, but with so many tests and reports I can only visit the website a few times a week.

Obviously there are other sites about musical theory, but I prefer teoria.com because it explains in simple terms (as far as possible).

If you want learn or practice your knowledge of musical theory I recommend this page completely!

Pancho nocturno...

The "Gran Valparaíso" conurbation (merger of cities: Valparaíso, Viña del Mar, Placilla de Peñuelas, Concón, Quilpué and Villa Alemana) is located in west zone of Region of Valparaíso.
I have visited Valparaíso and Viña del Mar, and these are places that I like so much, because there are "magic", on streets, homes and parks.
These are "big cities" and there are so much to do. But, when I go, I like go to parks (and palaces ubicated in the same parks) like Quinta Vergara, Rioja or Carrasco). Also, you can visited the Artequin museum (it's soooo funny!) where the children and youngs can know the visual arts.
A place tha I love so much is the main campus of Federico Santa María technical university, on Valparaíso. This is the first university that I visited :).
We can visit to historical building (Armada de Chile building, El Mercurio building) and hills too (like Los Placeres, Playa Ancha. Concepción, Alegre, Artillería or Barón). Oh! Also, we can visit La Sebastiana, Pablo Neruda's home, on Florida hill.
But, the best place is Muelle Barón! In this place, I and my friends go to diferentes cultural activities, where thousand of people to bring together.
The last time I went to Muelle was on january, to play on a folk festival. And we hope go on a couple of week!

Invisible musicians

Hi everybody!

I haven’t a favorite picture but this like me sooo much.
This photo (of quality terrible) was taken with my little sister, Marcela, on December 18 of 2011. That day the group Dacafochi (a folk group with dance and play music where I participle) opened opened the show “Latinoamérica Mía” (dances and songs of fourteen countries of Latin America).
This day was a long and tiring day but the experience was unique! With my friends studied a lot about Latin folk to play songs how really those are. Most difficult to do was song with the accent of every country! We was learning a couple of months how sing on different “kinds” of Spanish.
This photo like to me because it sees so much instruments waiting for anyone who play it and we can see an “empty” back to instruments in the stage. With my friends laughed a lot because we are invisible musicians!
Although, on groups like this, musicians are really invisible because the most of people that see shows doesn’t “listen” to music. Dancers are very applauding in all presentation. So, when anybody congratulates us we are very excited! (the page of “artist” is the clap).

Where I live

I thought about for days to write in my free post. And I haved conclused that I will tall about Maipu, the place where I live.
Maipú is a municipality of Santiago, on the west zone of the city. Founded on 1897 and has many historical monuments, like "Templo Votivo", square of Maipú, Primo de Rivera hill (knows all Hill 15), monument to embrace of Maipu, "Abrazo de Maipú" monument and "Vencedores de los Vencedores de Bailén" monument.
Most of these monuments are related to the independence of Chile, because here was fought the Maipú's battle.
Maipú is one of the biggest commune of Santiago, and here live a lot of people (698.732 people approx.). There is one hundred forty two kindergarden and schools to children and youngs, some good, some bad.
The municipality do a lot of activities (like concerts, races, free theater), and the people who live here participe massively.
I live here since I was born, when my parents bought a house on Los Heroés neighborhood. In this home live my parents, María Verónica and José, and my two sisters, Pamela and Marcela.
Also, most of my family (uncles, aunts, cousins) live here, and we see very often.
